The open swimming championship witnessed high competitive levels

The open swimming championship, organized by the Emirates Swimming Federation, has concluded over the past Saturday and Sunday, with the participation of more than 700 swimmers and swimming representing 30 clubs and academies, and was held in the Hamdan Sports Complex in Dubai.
A member of the Business Officer Committee in the Emirates Swimming Federation, Mohamed Bushehab, told «Emirates Today» that the tournament witnessed high competitive levels, and succeeded in achieving its technical and organizational goals, as it formed an important station to develop swimmers ’skills and enhance the spirit of challenge and teamwork, especially through relay races that received a great interaction from the participants and the public.
A large number of clubs and academies participated in the championship, including the Fujairah and Maliha clubs and the regulations, which gave the championship a strong and exciting character in addition to the private academies.
Bushehab pointed out that the competitions were held in the long junction (50 meters), and the sequence races witnessed new rules that guaranteed the fairness of the competition, as the official points were calculated for the fastest sequence team from each club only even in the event of the participation of more than one team.
He added: «The organization of the tournament came within the vision of the Emirates Federation for swimming to provide a competitive environment that raises the technical readiness of the swimmers, and gives them a real opportunity to friction and development through competitions that combine speed, tactics and discipline, and the tournament again confirmed the position of Hamdan Sports Complex as a leading destination to host major sporting events, in an enthusiastic atmosphere and a public presence interacting with the distinguished performance of the swimmers from different Categories ».
