This came on the occasion of the disclosure of the “Emirati resource” program – run by the Mohammed bin Rashid Foundation for Small and Medium Enterprises Development, one of the institutions of the Department of Economy and Tourism in Dubai – that it contributed to securing contracts for the members of the Foundation with a value exceeding 1.29 billion dirhams during the year 2024.

The results of the program for the year 2024 reflect the firm commitment of the Dubai government to empower projects and small and medium -sized companies, and enhance its role in accelerating the pace of economic growth, in line with the targets of Dubai Economic Agenda D33, in doubling the size of the emirate’s economy by 2033.

Since its launch, the program managed to facilitate contracts exceeding 12 billion dirhams, which allowed Emirati emerging projects exceptional opportunities in various sectors, and according to the program, government departments are as well as the authorities in which the government has a share of 25% or more, prevailing to allocate 10% of its purchases to Emirati facilities members of the Mohammed bin Rashid Foundation for the Development of Small and Medium Enterprises.

The results of 2024 confirm the effective role played by governmental, semi -governmental, federal and private sector in supporting the development of small and medium enterprises, as government institutions granted purchasing contracts worth 652.8 million dirhams for members of the Mohammed bin Rashid Foundation for Small and Medium Enterprises Development, with a prominent participation of the Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai, Dubai Municipality, Dubai Police and the Department of Economy and Tourism in Dubai, as it contributed The semi -government agencies, with contracts worth 347.7 million dirhams, came at the forefront of these authorities, the Emirates Group, the UAE to supply aircraft and Dubai Holding.

In turn, the value of the purchases of the federal authorities amounted to 94.6 million dirhams, with the effective participation of the Emirates Health Services Corporation, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, and the private sector partners enhanced their support for Emirati facilities by granting them contracts worth 198.9 million dirhams, which came from institutions such as the “Union Cooperative”, “Carrefour” and “Emaar Real Estate”.
