Dubai- Uzbekistan Business Forum discusses opportunities to enhance bilateral trade and joint investments

Dubai, June 19 / WAM / The Chambers of Dubai today organized the Dubai- Uzbekistan Business Forum with the participation of a high-level Uzbek delegation headed by His Excellency Aziz Maktovouf, Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and in the presence of about 100 businessmen from business community representatives on both sides.
The forum formed a platform to explore ways to enhance economic cooperation between the two countries, and discuss opportunities to expand bilateral trade and joint investments in the presence of a group of senior government officials, along with a number of deputies of ministers and the rulers of the main Uzbek regions, in addition to prominent personalities from the business community in Dubai and Uzbekistan.
His Excellency Mohammed Ali Rashid Lootah, Director General of Dubai Chambers, said that the visit of the Uzbek delegation is a valuable opportunity to enhance trade relations between Dubai and Uzbekistan, which has witnessed remarkable growth in recent years, and we are keen to explore new ways of cooperation and investment that guarantees the economic growth of both parties, and we look forward to helping Uzbek companies to proceed with their plans to expand internationally by taking advantage of the world -class infrastructure of Dubai And its strategic location as a gate to the various markets of the world.
Lootah stressed the keenness of Dubai Chambers to support Uzbek companies to expand in Dubai, by helping them to take advantage of the competitive advantages provided by the emirate as a strategic gateway to reach economic opportunities in various global markets.
The forum included presentations that dealt with the business and investment environment in Dubai and Uzbekistan, and reviewed the areas of joint cooperation, including promising investment opportunities in the two markets. The discussions also focused on promoting bilateral trade and expanding the scope of investments between Dubai and Uzbekistan.
During the forum, the two parties discussed ways to increase the volume of trade between them by taking advantage of the opportunities for exchange and cooperation, competitive advantages, and the capabilities available in both economies.
The forum highlighted the growing presence of the Uzbek Business Society in Dubai, where the number of Uzbek companies registered in the membership of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce exceeded 700 companies by the end of 2024, with an annual growth of 34.5%, and this momentum continued in 2025, with more than 60 new Uzbek companies joining the room membership during the first quarter of the year, which contributed to strengthening trade relations between the two sides.
It is worth noting that the value of non -oil trade between Dubai and Uzbekistan amounted to about 11.1 billion dirhams during the year 2024, with an annual growth of 66% compared to the year 2023. The most prominent Uzbek exports to Dubai included precious stones and precious metals, zinc, fruits and nuts, and copper, while Dubai exports to Uzbekistan electronics, machinery, vehicles, and precious stones included And precious metals, as well as perfumes and cosmetics.
