Recording about 6000 urban heritage sites in the National Registry of Urban Heritage

I announced Heritage Authority today about the registration of (5969) new urban heritage sites with The National Registry of Urban Heritage , bringing the total number of sites registered to (34.171) sites that reflect in their entirety the richness and diversity of architectural heritage in the various regions of the Kingdom .
The new registration list included a number of the Kingdom’s sites, namely: Riyadh region with (258) sites, the Makkah Al -Mukarramah region with (483) sites, the Qassim region with (761) sites, the eastern region with (3) sites, the Asir region with (3893) sites, the Hail region with a total of (60) sites, and the Jazan region with (8) sites, sites, sites, sites, sites, sites, sites, sites Al -Baha area with (499) locations, and finally the Al -Jouf area, which included (4) sites . To strengthen to protect these sites from encroachments or neglect, and to ensure their preservation of future generations .
The authority emphasized that this step comes within its strategic plan to expand the scope of legal protection for heritage sites, and to enable their rehabilitation in a way that enhances the national identity and highlights the cultural and historical value that involves it as live evidence of the heritage of architecture in the Kingdom .
The authority called on all members of society to support its efforts in monitoring and registering Heritage sites , by reporting it through a service "Report" Or by communicating with the authority through its official channels on social media, or by contacting the Unified Security Operations Center (911), stressing that community participation is an essential axis in preserving and activating the national urban heritage
