Mahdi Abdel Rahim, head of the World Cup rulers, women’s chess

Dubai, June 25 / WAM / The International Chess Federation chose Emirati international referee Mahdi Abdel Rahim, Adviser to the Referees Committee of the Federation, to head the ladies World Cup referees team, which will be held in the Georgian city of Batumi from 5 to 29 July, with the participation of 107 players, including 21 international titles and world champions.
This choice reflects the confidence of the International Federation in the Emirati competencies to lead the most prominent international championships, and confirms the prestigious position that national cadres have in the international arena, whether in administrative or technical positions.
