The King AbdulazizRoyal Reserve, today, Friday, banned Grazingin all areas located within the boundaries of the reserve, including the areas of Al-Saman, Al-Dahna, and Al-Arma, in addition to Al-Rawdhat and Al-Fayyad, with the exception of officially authorized members of the local community.
The Authority stressed the application of the penalties and fines stipulated in the environmental system and its executive regulations against violators of grazing regulations, explaining that the value of the fine may reach 500 riyals for each head, within the framework of protecting the vegetation cover and preserving biodiversity within the range. It explained that this decision comes within its efforts to maintain the environmental balance, protect wildlife species, and preserve biodiversity, in addition to reducing the negative effects resulting from overgrazing and illegal practices.
