Trump, the son opens the door for candidacy for the presidency: The road will not be difficult

In comments to the Financial Times, Eric Trump, son of former US President Donald Trump, hinted that he or a member of his family could run to the White House after his father’s second possible term, if he was re -elected.
Eric, who is the CEO of the Trump Foundation, said that the path towards the presidency will be easy if he decides to go through the experience, but he indicated his hesitation on the introduction of his family members, especially his children, in political life. He added: “I think that the road will be easy politically, but the question remains if I want to fight this battle again with the family.”
Speaking of the American political scene, Eric Trump criticized many current political figures, considering that his performance will be more efficient, noting at the same time that other family members may be eligible to take place in the future presidential race.
In response to a question about whether the 2024 elections will be his father’s last station in politics, Eric said: “I don’t know, the time will be revealed, and there are others who can run.” Expectations indicate that prominent names such as JD Vans, US Vice President and Foreign Minister Marco Rubio will be among the most prominent potential Republican candidates in the future.
Regarding the repeated accusations that affected the Trump family about the financial benefit from the presidential position, Eric denied the existence of any gains, explaining that the family has incurred significant financial losses. He said: “If my father did not run, our financial situation would have been completely different,” noting that they spent approximately $ 500 million on legal issues related to the accusations of Russian intervention in the 2016 elections.
Eric concluded his speech by noting that the cost of his family’s political participation was very expensive, whether legally or personal, stressing that his father’s candidacy had a great impact on their business.
It is noteworthy that Eric Trump, 41, has relatively moved away from the political scene compared to his brothers Donald Junior and Ivanka, and has focused on managing family companies since his father took office in 2017. Forbes magazine had previously reported that former President Trump had achieved revenues of $ 2.4 billion between 2017 and 2020 through his projects and businesses.
