Israel announces the destruction of 16 Revolutionary Guard aircraft at Mehrabad Airport in Tehran

The Israeli army announced on Saturday that it had destroyed 16 aircraft belonging to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard at Mehrabad International Airport in Tehran, in a wave of strikes launched on Friday night on the Iranian capital.
“During the night, the Israeli Air Force… completed a wide wave of strikes across Tehran on military infrastructure located at Mehrabad Airport,” he said in a statement.
He added, “16 aircraft of the Quds Force of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard were precisely destroyed.”
He continued in the statement, “Also, several Iranian fighter planes were targeted, posing a threat to Israeli Air Force aircraft operating in Iranian airspace.”
Later, the Israeli army said that it attacked the operations room of the Air Defense Command of the Revolutionary Guards Air Force, as well as a ballistic missile production and launch site.
Earlier Saturday, the Israeli army announced that more than eighty fighter planes carried out a series of strikes on military sites, missile launchers and other targets in Tehran and central Iran.
