Al Serkal Kindergarten participates in the World Chess Cup

The national team player and the Abu Dhabi Chess and Mental Games, the great international professor, Rawdat Al -Serkal, will participate in the Women’s Chess Cup hosted by the Georgian city of Batumi, during the fifth period to July 29, with the participation of 107 players of the most prominent stars of the world, including 21 international titles.
Al -Serkal’s participation came with the nomination of the Chess Federation, taking advantage of the international classification of the state, which allows the nomination of one player in this world championship. It is the second participation in the history of the UAE in the Women’s World Cup, as it was preceded by the player Wafia Darwish Al -Maamari in the last version.
Serkal, which has an international classification of 2175 points, starts with the championship with a strong confrontation against American player Larina Kroos, ranked 2376 points.
Al -Serkal had achieved a prominent achievement by obtaining the title of great international professor, after crowning the title of the Arab Championship in Sharjah, to become the first Emirati to win the prestigious title.
The member of the Chess Federation, the president of the women’s and media committees, Kholoud Al -Zarouni, stressed that the participation of Al -Serkal comes within the Federation’s strategy to increase the presence of the UAE players and players in international forums. Al -Zarouni said in press statements: “We aspire to achieve a new achievement that is added to its busy record, as it has previously crowned the international championships for young and schools, along with the Asian Amateur Cup, and the gold of the first Gulf Games for Youth.”
