7.2 trillion yuan, the size of the Chinese bond market, in May

Beijing on July 1 / WAM / Official data issued by the Chinese People’s Bank “Central Bank” showed that the volume of bond issues in China in May this year amounted to about 7.2 trillion yuan (USD trillion).

Treasury bonds specifically reached 1.49 trillion yuan, while local government bonds releases amounted to 779.44 billion yuan, according to the Chinese People’s Bank.

Financial bond issues amounted to 1.22 trillion yuan, and companies ’credit bond versions 902.27 billion yuan, while unpaid bonds were 187.2 trillion yuan at the end of last May.
