Dubai, July 2 / WAM / The Ports, Customs and Free Zone Foundation in Dubai crowned the “Global Leader in Social Liability” award from the British CSR Excellence Awards, achieving the global lead in the category “societal commitment to government agencies” after competition with more than 300 files submitted from different countries of the world.
According to a press release issued today, this global coronation comes as entitled to the continuous efforts and innovative programs launched by the Foundation within its annual plan in the field of social responsibility, which keeps pace with its strategic vision in supporting sustainable development and enhancing the quality of life in society.
His Excellency Sultan Ahmed bin Salim, President of the Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation said that with the beginning of 2025, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, announced the allocation of this year to be a “year of society”, which constituted a great motivation for us in the institution to double the active societal efforts and initiatives, and we have been keen during this year to provide sustainable community programs that target various groups, and contribute to various groups. Establishing a culture of giving and promoting community cohesion locally and globally.
He added that winning this prestigious global award is an international testimony for our deep commitment to social responsibility, and reflects the vision of our rational leadership that pays great attention to building a coherent and prosperous society, and we consider this achievement not just a victory, but a new responsibility that leads us to continue and innovate in the service of our society, stressing that this achievement crowns the efforts of the Ports, Customs and Customs Foundation and the community free zone in the year of society and added to the record of the state With societal and humanitarian initiatives.
Ibn Salail stated that the coronation of the Ports, Customs and Free Zone Foundation in this award is an achievement not only for the institution, but to Dubai and the UAE in general, given the strong competition in this award by more than 300 files submitted by different government agencies around the world.
For his part, His Excellency Nasser Al -Neyadi, CEO of the Ports, Customs and Free Zone Foundation, explained that the Foundation has received the honor of winning this award from a prominent global organization, in exchange for innovative community initiatives and targeted charitable projects that enhance the value of man in society, noting that the Foundation besides its role in enhancing Dubai’s position as a sustainable pioneering center to support the economic sector at the global level, and achieving the goals of Dubai’s agenda D33, I was also keen to carry out its humanitarian duties towards society.
It is noteworthy that CSR Excellence Award is one of the highest international awards in the field of social responsibility and sustainable development, and is organized annually by a non -profit British organization, which is concerned with honoring the best institutional practices around the world.
The ceremony was honored by the award -winning institutions in the historic St. Paul Cathedral in the British capital, London, and the award was received by Hind Ahmed Shaker, Director of Marketing and Institutional Communication at the Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation.
The most prominent community initiatives implemented by the Foundation during the year 2025 included professional education and rehabilitation programs, sustainable environmental campaigns, and charitable projects that support self -sufficiency, in addition to community projects targeting the family and childhood and achieving food security, and extensive health and awareness campaigns to prevent diseases in cooperation with health and charitable institutions in the country.
