"Fujairah Martial Arts" It hosts an international judo and combined fencing tournament
Fujairah, April 17 / WAM / The Fujairah Martial Arts Club announced that it will host the International Judo and Combined Fencing Championships in the first week of next May.
He also revealed the opening of registration doors to attract new talents in various types of combat sports, according to precise criteria for selecting players and distributing them to different games, in proportion to their abilities and capabilities, to ensure achieving the best results.
His Excellency Nader Abu Shawish, Director of the Fujairah Martial Arts Club, said that the club is keen to develop the capabilities of male and female players in various sports, and to enable them to participate in international tournaments, to raise their international classification indicators, according to international standards that guarantee access to podiums.
He pointed to a number of anticipated participations of player Fares Al-Balushi and Al-Hayam Al-Balushi in the World Cup (Senior) Fencing Championship in Shanghai, China, from May 15 to 17, with the presence of elite players in the world according to high international classifications.
He also noted their participation in the Asian Championship (Senior) in India from June 19 to 24, especially since it is considered one of the most important continental tournaments that qualifies players at the Asian level, and then the World Championship (Senior), in Hong Kong from July 22 to 31, which is considered one of the qualitative events in the world and a major station in the players’ competitive career.
He explained that the participations are within the framework of the club’s strategy to maintain and enhance the international classification of players, and it is also an essential step in preparation for the Olympic qualification path, by providing the best opportunities for international exposure and experience for the players in keeping with the highest competitive standards, and developing sports talents through approved training programs.
