The Taekwondo team participates in the Asian Junior and Youth Championship
Fujairah on July 3 / WAM / The Emirates Taekwondo Federation announced the approval of the participation of 16 players and players in the Asian Junior and Youth Championship, scheduled in Malaysia during the period from 25 to 28 July.
The list includes 10 players and players at the junior level, along with 6 players and players in the youth category, they were chosen based on their results last season, and the number of medals won by each player, in addition to other technical standards such as length, weight and technical performance.
Abdullah Al -Samahi, Secretary -General of the Emirates Taekwondo Federation, explained that the players and players are currently running a period of preparation with their clubs in external camps that extend from July 1 to 12 of it, to a unified training gathering in the Emirate of Sharjah in preparation for the official participation in the championship.
He stressed that participation in the tournament comes within the framework of the Federation’s vision towards strengthening the Emirati presence in continental and international championships.
Al -Samahi also praised the role of clubs and their active efforts in implementing development initiatives, and their keenness to raise the quality of technical programs, and to qualify players according to international best practices.
