Buses will return tomorrow… and new organizational procedures will be introduced to receive students and enhance discipline

Principals of private schools in Dubai, Sharjah, and Ajman confirmed to Emirates Today that the days preceding the decision to return school buses to the streets, starting tomorrow morning, witnessed an intense movement within the educational field, which included continuous meetings, a comprehensive update of plans, and a redistribution of roles among educational and administrative staff, ensuring a start free of confusion, and enhancing the level of discipline from the first moments of the start of the school day.
They explained that the resumption of bus operation restores the normal rhythm of the school day, as the school transportation system takes the lead in preparations as the daily starting point for students, with the adoption of plans to organize boarding and disembarking from buses, ensuring compliance with safety procedures, in addition to integrated coordination between school administrations and transportation supervisors, ensuring that students arrive regularly and safely.
The director of a private school in Dubai, Khaled Abdul Hamid, confirmed that the schools “are working on the smallest operational details, starting from organizing the entry of students, through supervision mechanisms within the school campus, to plans for dealing with emergency cases, in a model that reflects high readiness and institutional discipline based on proactiveness, not reaction.”
He added that schools are implementing a package of new regulatory procedures to receive students, with the aim of providing a safe and stable educational environment and ensuring the safety of students and educational staff.
He continued, “The plan depends on organizing attendance according to readiness, taking into account the different levels of study, and adhering to a unified educational pattern, whether fully in-person or remotely without combining them, in addition to granting deliberate flexibility in attendance and departure times, suspending the external morning queue and replacing it with internal alternatives, while applying periodic checklists to ensure the readiness of buildings and facilities.”
The director of a private school in Ajman, Dr. Faris Al-Jabour, stated that enhancing administrative readiness was a key focus of the preparations, through training educational and administrative staff on safety procedures and response mechanisms, and preparing awareness materials for students that include security instructions, evacuation plans, and identifying safe areas, in parallel with activating communication channels with parents and concerned authorities, and organizing entry and exit movement within the school campus.
He pointed out that schools paid advanced attention to psychological aspects by applying psychological first aid as a supportive approach, focusing on monitoring cases that need support and providing reassurance, stressing that “this approach enhances students’ stability and prepares them for rapid integration into the educational environment.”
In turn, the director of a private school in Sharjah, Kholoud Fahmy, confirmed that private schools have enhanced their readiness with the new academic start, by designing specialized training programs to deal with various scenarios, in addition to organizing the movement of students inside and outside the classroom with high efficiency.
She explained that the role of educational staff includes supervision, guidance, and psychological support, in a way that enhances students’ feelings of safety and stability upon returning to the school environment.
Teacher Muhammad Farid confirmed that the new procedures contribute to enhancing discipline within the school environment, pointing out that “clarity of work mechanisms and unification of the teaching style reduce distraction and reflect positively on the conduct of classes and the achievement of educational goals efficiently.”
Teacher Reham Qabbani stated that training cadres on safety procedures and response plans enhances their readiness to deal with various situations. She said, “The clarity of procedures and continuous communication with parents enhances confidence and reassurance, and supports students’ stability.”
Special education expert, Muhammad Anwar, confirmed that the adopted procedures represent a shift towards a more flexible and proactive educational management, based on advance planning and integration of roles, indicating that the success of the return is not measured by opening doors, but rather by the schools’ ability to manage daily details with high efficiency.
At the level of parents, Wadha Al Mutawa praised the schools’ focus on awareness and psychological aspects, stressing that clarity of procedures and continuous communication with parents enhances confidence and reassurance, and supports students’ stability within the school environment.
