The US military is preparing to confiscate oil tankers linked to Iran

The Wall Street Journal, on Saturday, quoted American officials as saying that the US military is preparing, in the coming days, to carry out operations to intercept and inspect oil tankers and commercial ships linked to Iran and control them in international waters, in a step that reflects the expansion of the scope of the US naval campaign beyond the Middle East.

At the same time, Iran continues to tighten its grip on the Strait of Hormuz, as it was reported that a number of commercial ships were attacked on Saturday, coinciding with Tehran’s announcement that the waterway is now “under strict control.”
