The National Bank of Bahrain launches the second edition of the “Techstride” step in cooperation with “Fab Lab Bahrain”

The National Bank of Bahrain (NBB) announced the launch of the second edition of the Tecstride educational program, in cooperation with the “Fab Lab Bahrain”, with the aim of empowering Bahraini youth and providing them with applied knowledge and practical experience related to emerging technologies. The program comes this year the great success achieved by its first version, with a comprehensive development in educational content, in a manner that ensures the development of technical skills, and the creation of an innovative generation capable of finding solutions in creative ways.
It is noteworthy that the program targets high school students and universities from the age group between 15 and 24, where the participants will have a dynamic educational experience that extends for six weeks from July 12 to August 21, 2025. 60 students will participate in the current version of the program, which are to be divided into groups to enhance the level of effectiveness, as they will be subject to intense training at a rate of 48 hours per week.
The Tecstride step depends on an applied approach, and a structure that allows participants to implement practical projects that translate theoretical concepts into realistic experiences. Participants in the program are divided into four main groups, where they receive training in four -hour educational sessions at a rate of three times a week, ensuring the provision of a fruitful, creative and cooperative educational environment. It is reported that the selection of participants is based on identification speeches, and the interviews to assess the level of readiness, in addition to the ideas of the projects they present in multiple areas such as robotics, artificial intelligence, and electronic games design.

The “Tecstride” step from “Fab Lab Bahrain” is one of the most active branches within the global “Fab Lab” network, and the first laboratory to launch the Fab Academy diploma of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the Middle East and North Africa. The program is characterized by its focus on creativity, critical thinking, and repetitive design, which contributes to the development of the pioneering mentality in the middle of Bahraini youth, and encourages continuous learning in light of the rapid technical transformations.
