The launch of the third edition of the Abu Dhabi Naval Awards

Abu Dhabi, July 8/ WAM/ “Abu Dhabi Naval”, affiliated to the Abu Dhabi Ports Group, announced the launch of the third edition of the Abu Dhabi Naval Awards, in cooperation with the Integrated Transport Center of the Municipalities and Transport Department, as part of the activities of the “Abu Dhabi International Boat Fair” that will be held on November 20, 2025.
These awards aim to consolidate the standards of excellence in managing and operating the anchors in the Middle East and North Africa and Turkey, and celebrating the anchors that provide distinguished performance and contribute to the development of the maritime sector.
The application has been opened for all operators and owners of licensed moorings throughout the region.
Dr. Abdullah Hamad Al -Ghafli, Acting Director General of the Integrated Transport Center, said: The launch of the third edition of the Abu Dhabi Naval Awards represents an advanced step towards developing an integrated framework that enhances the efficiency of the anchors, and encourages the adoption of best practices in this vital sector, and the center confirms through this cooperation its support for initiatives that keep pace with urban expansion and economic growth, and contributes to enhancing the quality of marine services, in line with the directions of the emirate towards infrastructure Sophisticated and sustainable.
For his part, Captain Saif Al -Muhairi, CEO of Abu Dhabi Navy, and CEO of sustainability in the Abu Dhabi Ports Group, said: We witnessed in the previous version a great interaction, as the number of posts increased to three times compared to the first version, which reflects the growing interest in excellence in the moorings sector, and with the expansion of the award program this year to include 13 categories in addition to special honor, we aim to highlight the innovations And the leading initiatives that contribute to drawing the features of the future of the marine sector in the region and enhancing its global presence. We are confident that this course will highlight inspiring success stories that will be highlighted and shared with a wider audience.
With the third edition, five categories of prizes are honored with the exceptional performance of the anchors, namely: “The Excellence Award in the Experience of Dealers”, “The Excellence Award in the Labor Environment”, the “Award for Excellence in Health and Safety”, “The Excellence Award for Innovation”, and “The Excellence Award for Sustainability”, and the “Distinguished Marina” award is awarded for marina, which shows remarkable excellence across all five categories.
This year’s version is witnessing a remarkable expansion with the addition of 6 new categories for project and individuals prizes, as well as the current six awards of sectors and facilities of marine anchors.
A new seventh category has also been created under the name “Distinguished Marina”, which is the second highest award in the award program, and has the same standards as the “distinguished marina” category, but it is limited to the anchors that include 200 wages or less.
All applicants for these two prizes will also be included in the five sub -categories, with their winners excluded from winning in other institutional groups to ensure equal opportunities.
This year’s program also includes the “most popular marina” award, where voting will be opened for the public to choose their favorite instance via a dedicated electronic platform that will be announced later.
