Minister Abdel Ati briefed his Dutch counterpart on the latest developments related to the ceasefire negotiations in Gaza and the release of a number of hostages, prisoners and the relentless efforts that Egypt plays in coordination with Qatar and the United States, stressing the importance of the role of the European Union in supporting the efforts made to the ceasefire, ensuring its sustainability and access Humanitarian and relief aid, especially in light of the catastrophic conditions in the Gaza Strip and Israel’s use of starvation as a weapon against civilians. He also stressed the importance of reaching a permanent and comprehensive solution that guarantees the rights of the Palestinian people and establishing an independent state on the lines of June 4, 1967 with East Jerusalem as its capital, in a manner that ensures the achievement of security and stability in the region. Negotiation in a way that contributes to addressing all concerns and achieving the desired calm and reducing tension in the region.
