During its meeting yesterday, at the Sharjah Chess Chess Club headquarters, the General Electoral Assembly of the Bicycle Federation was elected at the headquarters of the Sharjah Chess Club, a new board of directors of the session between 2025-2028, in the presence of 14 clubs out of 17 members of the federation, while three clubs were absent: Maliha, Fujairah, and Marafout.
The results resulted in the victory of Mansour Bouasiba, the candidate of Al -Ahly Youth Club, as the Chairman of the Board of Directors after his candidacy alone, to keep his position for a new session by acclamation, and Kholoud Juma Rashid Al Dhaheri, representative of the Abu Dhabi Club, won the women’s seat as well, as she is the only candidate, to continue to represent the female component in the new board of directors.
The new squad for the board of directors included Dr. Yasser Al -Doukhi, representative of Sharjah Club, Youssef Mirza, representative of Abu Dhabi Club, Mubarak Bouasiba, representative of Al -Arabi Club, Omar Al -Naqbi, representative of Khorfakkan Club, and Yahya Al -Muhairi, representative of Al -Nasr Club, along with Kholoud Al Dhaheri.
The electoral general assembly witnessed the presence of representatives from the sports and official authorities, led by the Executive Director of the National Olympic Committee, Mohammed bin Darwish, the Director of Governance Department at the Ministry of Sports Omar Khalaf, and the representative of the UAE Paralympic Committee Zeban Al -Muhairi. She supervised the progress of the electoral process, headed by Dr. Salim Sorour Al -Shamsi, membership of Ahmed Al -Suwaidi, Zayed Al -Awlaki, and the participation of Mohamed Saad as a rapporteur for the committee.
