Opening the door for registration for a program "Dubai MIT Design X Dubai"

Dubai, July 16 / WAM / Dubai Silicon Oasis announced today, the registration door for the third batch of the Dubai MIT Design X program, which is organized in cooperation with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology – MIT and Global Glory Hep, will start on October 20 and will continue until January 28, 2026, in the Dubai Silicon Oasis.
With its third payment, the program aims to choose 12 innovative teams to develop sustainable solutions to urgent urban challenges in five vital sectors, including real estate, design, architecture, transport, logistics, sustainability and health, allowing the participating teams to develop comprehensive solutions for smart and flexible cities.
The launch of this batch comes as a continuation of the success achieved by the program during its previous two batches, where the “Olfa” team won the first batch by investing 200 thousand dollars for their leading and innovative technology that addresses the plastic waste crisis, and re -employed it in building houses for societies that are considered one of the most deprived around the world, while the “Theon” team crowned the champion of the second batch to achieve a pioneering progress in technology Crystal, lithium and sulfur batteries, and he got 100 thousand dirhams as financing in addition to establishing his business for a full year at the Dubai Technology Center for Entrepreneurship “Dik”, one of the initiatives of Dubai Silicon Oasis.
Badr Bouhanad, General Manager of Dubai Silicon Oasis, said that the launch of the third batch of the Dubai MIT Design X program is one of the important initiatives in the Dubai march towards consolidating its position as a leading global center for sustainable innovation and transformational entrepreneurship, by attracting the best global minds and talents and enabling them to develop innovative solutions to contemporary urban challenges, in line with the UAE vision 2071 and Dubai Urban Plan 2040.
For his part, Gilad Roszujoug, Executive Director of “DesignX” at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, said that the institute continues its strategic partnership with “Dies” through the “Design X” program that is organizing it in the Dubai Silicon Oasis, and that the choice of Dubai as a homeland for this program confirms its position as a engine for technological development and sustainability in the region.
Participants in the program will receive the guidance of faculty members at the Massachusetts Institute and its graduates, in addition to supporting trained students at the institute, and taking advantage of specialized workshops and program for the MitDesignx interaction program, ensuring that all participating startups achieve quick successes towards the application of their innovations.
The winning team will have a financial support in appreciation of the strength of its solutions and the possibility of its impact on reshaping cities, while five additional teams will have the opportunity to establish their work for free in the Dubai Silicon Oasis, and enter the UAE market through the extensive institutional system of the three economic areas of the Authority and includes the Dubai Airport, Dubai Silicon Oasis and Dubai Comristant.
The program is provided to the selected teams for free around the clock to the advanced work spaces at the Dubai Technology Center for Entrepreneurship, in addition to discounts in the fees for preparing licenses for qualified teams. The registration period in this batch extends until August 15.
