Paris on July 18/ WAM/ The Emirates -XRG Bicycle Team confirmed its worth as one of the most prominent teams in France 2025, after a distinguished collective performance that the Slovenian star Tadi Bugsher won the twelfth stage of the race, which yesterday ended with a hard rise to the “Hotakam” summit, to return the team to the top of the general classification with a comfortable difference.
Bugsher managed to present his best performances, beating his direct rival Jonas Vigarda from the team (Vesma – Liz A Bike) by a difference of more than two minutes, to restore the yellow shirt and take the top of the overall ranking by 3 minutes and 31 seconds, and he also became the first current world champion to win a mountain end in the circumambulation since 1981.
This achievement came with the full support of the Emirati team, where Tim Wellins, Neils Polit, Adam Yates and Jonathan Nafeez played pivotal roles in controlling the rhythm of the race and facilitating the decisive separation of Bogachshar in the last meters of the rise of Hotakam.
Bugsher gave victory to the spirit of the young Italian contestant Samueli Brevitira, who died after a tragic accident less than 24 hours before the race.
Bugsher stressed that the team planned for this stage a long time, praising the performance of its colleagues and their role in achieving this victory, which strengthens its ambition towards achieving a fourth title in Paris.
It is expected that the excitement will continue in the next stage, which includes a difficult mountain race to the “Piragoud” summit.
