An American accusation put explosives on metro lines in New York
Mikhail Gan, residing in the Anouud neighborhood, requested initial chemicals online that can be combined to form an explosive mix, and made seven manually explosive devices, according to the accusation regulations issued by the US Prosecutor’s Office for the Southern Region of New York State.
The federal authorities accuse him that in late May he threw three hand -made explosive devices from Williamsburg Bridge, which connects Manhattan and Brokelin, one of which fell on the metro lines, while two fell into the East River.
Transfer explosive materials
Gan was arrested on June 5, accused of trying to destroy property using explosives, transporting explosive materials and illegal possession of destructive devices.
One of the packages found on the roof of a building in the Soho neighborhood contained “about 30 grams of explosive powder, equivalent to about 600 times twice the legal limit allowed for fireworks allocated to the public.”
The authorities did not make any statement regarding its potential motives, but in a post on “X”, it was published in late March and in the midst of tensions related to the anti -immigrant demonstrations in New York, Mikhail Gan sent a letter to the American president in which he criticized the absence of the border wall, and gave anxiously to the idea of bombing the city in response to what he described as the continuous flow of migrants.
Firearms
Before his arrest, Gan has conducted many online research on explosives and firearms, and wrote on Instagram, “Who wants to go out to play as if there is not tomorrow?” And only hours before his arrest in the Soho neighborhood in possession of an explosive device, according to the indictment.
If he is convicted of the three charges against him, Gan may face the prison sentence for up to 40 years as a maximum.
