Atomic energy delegation visits Iran soon without entering nuclear sites
Gharib Abadi said in a statement to reporters at the United Nations headquarters: “We agreed to conduct a technical delegation of the International Atomic Energy Agency for a visit to Iran very soon, within two to 3 weeks,” to discuss the new formulas of relations between Iran and the agency in the wake of American and Israeli strikes on nuclear sites.
He added: The delegation will discuss these formulas, but it will not go to the nuclear sites.
Iran rejects negotiations on American conditions
A few days ago, Ali Akbar Veleti, Advisor to the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, stressed that Iran categorically rejects the resumption of negotiations on its nuclear program if the United States insists on the condition of stopping uranium enrichment.
“If the negotiations are conditional on the suspension of fertilization, they will certainly not happen,” he said, according to his statement to the official IRNA agency.
Despite the firm position on my state, Iranian President Masoud Bouchashian confirmed that Tehran is still adhering to diplomacy and constructive participation, and in a message published on the presidential site, Bouchakian stated: “The diplomatic window is still open, and we will continue this path seriously.”
Previous negotiation tours
The last months have witnessed five negotiating rounds between the Iranian and American delegations, by Omani, since last April, but it stopped after an Israeli attack on June 13, which led to the outbreak of a 12 -day war, during which Washington participated in the bombing of 3 Iranian nuclear facilities.
The sixth round of negotiations was scheduled for June 15, but was canceled due to the escalation of confrontations.
