المملكة: Eastern girls are making two new prizes in “Icev 2025”

The two students, Musk Hamad Al -Mutairi and Raghad Yasser Al -Sheikh, added to the balance of the Kingdom’s awards, two international awards at the “ISF Science and Engineering 2025” exhibition after winning two special prizes from the American Chemical Society, in appreciation of the distinction of their two scientific projects, to increase the Kingdom’s balance from (23) to (25) international awards in the competition, which was held in the city of Columbus in the state American last May, with the participation of more than (1700) male and female students representing (70) countries.
This honor is an extension of the successive scientific achievements, which are recorded by the Kingdom’s students in this year’s edition of the exhibition, and the total awards they achieved (25) international awards, including (14) major prize and (11) special awards, after the two students and the sheikh added the two awards from the American Chemical Society to the balance of the Kingdom’s awards.

Saudi achievement

The American Chemical Society has a global prestigious position in the field of chemistry, and annually offers special prizes within the activities of the ISF exhibition, in support of distinguished scientific projects, and an encouragement for talented students to innovate in the areas of chemistry and related sciences.

The student, Misk Al -Mutairi, from the Eastern Education Department, participated in a research project that focuses on creating and testing new copper nanoparticles to convert carbon dioxide into valuable chemicals selectively, which contributes to the development of carbon economy technologies and reduced harmful emissions, while her colleague in the same administration Raghad Al -Sheikh presented a promising research project to develop effective electrical stimuli to convert Carbon dioxide, which may open horizons for cleaner and more sustainable chemical industries.
These honorable results came as a fruit of a careful scientific qualification path that students participating in “ISF 2025”, and extended over a full year, within specialized programs supervised by the King Abdulaziz Foundation and his men for talent and creativity “talent”, which included diagnostic tests, workshops, and training on display and delivery skills, under the supervision of a group of local and international experts.

International awards

The Kingdom, represented by the “Tahiba” Foundation and the Ministry of Education, will participate in the ISF exhibition, since 2007, and it has (185) international awards from all its participation in the exhibition, including (124) major prize and (61) special prize, which reflects the effectiveness of investment in the programs of discovering and caring for the talented, and enhances the Kingdom’s competitiveness globally in the fields of science, engineering and innovation.
The ISEF is the largest international scientific exhibition dedicated to pre -university education students, and is held annually with the participation of thousands of students from more than (70) countries, competing to provide innovative scientific projects and research in multiple fields that include engineering, medicine, physics, environmental science, computer, artificial intelligence, and other areas.
