A joint statement regarding the approval of the Israeli Knesset on the declaration of “Israeli sovereignty” on the occupied West Bank

The United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Republic of Indonesia, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the State of Palestine, the State of Qatar, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Republic of Turkey, the League of Arab States, and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in the strongest phrases, approves the Israeli Knesset on the declaration of the call to impose the so -called “Israeli sovereignty” on the West Bank Occupied, and considers it a blatant and rejected violation of international law, and a flagrant violation of the relevant Security Council resolutions, led by decisions 242 (1967), 338 (1973), and 2334 (2016), all of which confirm the invalidity of all procedures and decisions that aim to legitimize the occupation, including settlement activities in the occupied Palestinian land since 1967.

The above mentioned parties reaffirm that Israel does not have any sovereignty on the occupied Palestinian land, and confirms that this unilateral Israeli move does not have any legal impact, and it cannot change the legal status of the occupied Palestinian land, especially East Jerusalem, which remains an integral part of that land, as it stresses that such Israeli measures would only fuel the increasing tension in the region, which is exacerbated by The Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip and the humanitarian catastrophe in the Strip.

These parties call on the international community, including the Security Council and all concerned parties, to assume their legal and moral responsibilities, the urgent action to stop the illegal Israeli policies aimed at imposing a fait accompli by force, undermining the chances of achieving a fair and permanent peace, and eliminating the horizon of the two -state solution.

These parties also renew their commitment to a two -state solution on the basis of international legitimacy decisions and the Arab peace initiative, and the embodiment of an independent Palestinian state on the fourth lines of June 1967, and its capital is East Jerusalem.
