The UAE receives two gold prizes for medical excellence from the Asian Football Confederation

Kuala Lumpur on July 24/ WAM/ The Asian Football Confederation awarded the Golden Award for Medical Excellence by Dr. Murad Al -Ghairi, Director of the FIFA Medical Center in Dubai, and the late Dr. Abdullah Hassan Baron, the former national team doctor of the Emirates Football Association, during the activities of the eighth sports medicine conference, organized by the Federation in the Malaysian capital, Kuala Lumpur, during the period from 21 to 25 July.
The UAE will win two gold prizes out of 7 awards distributed during the ceremony that was held today on the sidelines of the conference, the advance of the field of football in the country and the great efforts made by medical cadres to maintain the health and safety of players in clubs and national teams.
The award was awarded to Dr. Abdullah Hassan Baron in honor of his long career, which spanned more than 25 years in the field of sports medicine, during which he worked as a doctor for the national teams, along with a number of state clubs, and left a clear imprint in supporting the health march of athletes.
The victory of Dr. Murad Al -Ghairiri was the culmination of a professional march exceeding 30 years in the field of football, and is one of the prominent competencies that contributed to the development of the sports medical care system at the local and international levels through the FIFA Medical Center in Dubai.
The Asian Medical Confederation Awards aim to highlight the efforts of medical teams, honor their contributions to upgrade health care for athletes, and ensure their physical and mental readiness, in support of the development of football in the Asian continent.
