Austria : "Optimistic about the possibility of a negotiating solution with America on customs duties"
Washington, on July 24 / WAM / Peta Mainel Risenger, Austria’s Foreign Minister, expressed her optimism that a negotiating solution to the conflict on customs duties between the European Union and the United States, after meeting its American counterpart Marco Rubio, was expressed during her visit today to Washington.
In her statements, Rayzinger stressed the importance of reaching a good agreement on customs tariffs and said: “I am very confident in reaching a fair negotiating solution to both sides.”
Austria’s position in support of the principle of free trade, and said: “We will be the strongest economist if we depend on free trade.”
The Austria Foreign Minister noted that the European Union is currently working to adopt the principle of free trade in its commercial relations with other parts of the world and is looking for new markets.
