المملكة: Professional workshops that introduce engineers with 6 services and strategic directions that support the profession

The Saudi Authority for Engineers concluded a series of identification workshops that it recently organized in the cities of Jubail and Yanbu, as part of its efforts to enhance direct communication with engineers and engineers, and review the latest services and development initiatives that contribute to supporting the engineering profession and raising the quality of its practices in the Kingdom.
The workshops aimed to introduce the participants to the authority’s vision and the most prominent strategic target, in addition to clarifying the procedures for registration, vocational classification, accreditation requirements, and mechanisms for obtaining membership.
She touched on a review of professional training and development programs, and ways to benefit from the opportunities available to enhance professional efficiency.

Support national capabilities

The workshops highlighted the authority’s strategic plan, future trends towards raising the level of professional practice, promoting competitiveness, and supporting national capabilities, in line with the targets of the Kingdom’s 2030 vision in developing the engineering sector as one of the possibilities of national development.
In a related context, the Secretary -General of the Saudi Authority for Engineers, Eng. Abdul Mohsen Al -Majnouni, explained that the engineering sector has exceeded that it is a supportive element of projects, to become a pillar in the paths of national transformation, from infrastructure and energy projects to the sectors of technical, sustainability, education, and innovation.

He stressed that the Saudi engineer has become present in the various stages of completion, and a partner in shaping the features of development in the Kingdom.
He pointed out that professional accreditation is not limited to granting the engineer a legal and professional status, but rather a fundamental step towards raising the quality of engineering performance, enhancing the reliability of services, and creating a professional environment based on merit and efficiency.
He also pointed out that the authority’s recent joining the International Engineering Alliance is one of the most prominent international achievements of the sector, and reflects the size of the international appreciation of the efficiency of national engineering cadres.
