Control of a fire in used car parts locations used in Sharjah without any injuries

The General Command of Sharjah Police, in cooperation with the Sharjah Civil Defense Authority and the competent authorities, confirmed the full control of the fire that broke out this morning, Friday, in one of the locations of selling used auto parts in the tenth industrial zone without any injuries.

The Director General of the General Administration of Operations and Security Support and Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Team, Brigadier Omar Al -Ghazal, confirmed that the fire was dealt with by the specialized teams with a quick and professional response, as an integrated field team was formed in a high coordination with the relevant authorities, which contributed to controlling the fire and limiting its spread in record time without registering any human injuries.

Al -Ghazal pointed out that the cadres specialized in the Civil Defense Authority are currently carrying out the implementation of cooling operations to ensure that the fire is not renewed and to preserve the safety of the surrounding area.

For his part, the Deputy Director General of the Sharjah Civil Defense Authority, Brigadier Saeed Obaid Al -Suwaidi, indicated that reaching the site of the fire took only 8 minutes to receive the communication, which contributed to containing him in record time, thanks to the readiness of the teams and the integration of efforts with the relevant authorities.

Al -Suwaidi said: “Public safety was at the forefront of our priorities from the first moment, and evacuation and insurance operations have been carried out according to the highest safety standards, in parallel with the closure of gas lines near the accident site in coordination with the Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority, as a precautionary measure to avoid any additional risks while starting fire operations.

He explained that all the necessary measures were taken to ensure the safety of workers and those on the site, adding that, in cooperation with the General Command of Sharjah Police, the damage will be limited, while a technical investigation is being made to determine the causes of the fire and its circumstances.

The General Command of Sharjah Police appreciates the efforts of both the General Command of Civil Defense in Dubai, the General Administration of Civil Defense in Ajman, the Civil Defense Department in Umm Al Quwain, and the Municipality of Sharjah, the Electricity, Water, Sharjah Gas, National Ambulance, and Marwan Company, for their active cooperation and integrated efforts in dealing with the accident, stressing that this coordination reflects the readiness of the integrated system to respond to emergency, It embodies the spirit of joint institutional work to preserve the safety of society.
