The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights announced today, Friday, that 1373 Palestinians have died since May 27, as a result of the Israeli forces firing them while waiting for aid in the Gaza Strip.
A press release of the UNHCR office in Palestine indicated that “859 of them died in the vicinity of the sites of the Gaza Human Foundation, and 514 along the paths of food convoys.”
The statement stated that “the fires and bombing of the Palestinians by the Israeli army continued along the food convoys paths and near the sites of the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, despite the army’s announcement on July 27, the suspension of its military operations for specific hours to improve the humanitarian response.”
The office announced that most of the victims were “young and children” and did not pose any threat to Israeli forces or other individuals.
