A British youth accused of killing a Saudi student in Cambridge

On Monday, the Cambridge County Police in the United Kingdom charged the premeditated murder of a 21 -year -old British youth, against the backdrop of an appeal incident, which was able to live in the lives of the Saudi student, Mohammed Al -Qasim, last weekend south of Cambridge.

The police said, in an official statement, that the accused will be presented to the partial court to consider the charges against him, noting that the investigations are still continuing to reveal the circumstances of the crime.

The local authorities also reported the arrest of another 50 -year -old man, on suspicion of providing assistance to the accused after the crime was executed.

She indicated that the victim’s autopsy will take place on Tuesday as part of the criminal investigation.

The police said that “the attack is believed to be unjustified,” noting that the student, Muhammad Al -Qasim, a Saudi citizen, was in the United Kingdom to participate in an academic training program that extends for ten weeks in Cambridge.

For its part, the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the United Kingdom issued a statement confirming its follow -up to the case from the first moment, noting its continuous coordination with the competent British authorities to complete the investigation procedures and transfer the body of the deceased to the Kingdom.

The embassy affirmed its confidence in the British judicial path, and its keenness to follow the rights of the citizen and his family.

The accident raised widespread reactions among the people of the Saudi community in Britain, who expressed their shock, demanding that those responsible for the crime be held accountable and ensuring the safety of the scholarships.
