“Parkin” submits a proposal to amend parking tariffs in Dubai… and an expected increase if Dubai Roads approves it.

Parkin Company reported that it had submitted an official request to the Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai, in mid-February, requesting various amendments that would, if approved, increase the weighted average tariff for public vehicle parking.

The company explained that the amendments it submitted include proposed changes to the structure of seasonal cards and tariffs, with the aim of reducing the current price disparity, and better aligning them with the variable tariff system that was implemented earlier this year. The proposals also maintain the current discount system to enhance fairness in the long term for both customers, for Parkin, and the Roads and Transport Authority.

She added that the Roads and Transport Authority confirmed its receipt of our proposal, and the authority will conduct a detailed review before submitting it to the Executive Council of the Emirate of Dubai to obtain guidance and final approval.

This step comes at a time when the vehicle parking sector is witnessing rapid regulatory transformations, with the expansion of the application of flexible pricing systems aimed at enhancing the efficiency of use and achieving greater streamlined management of demand for public parking in the Emirate of Dubai.
