The World Council for Tolerance and Peace condemns the decision of Israel to occupy Gaza

Abu Dhabi, August 9 / WAM / The World Council for Tolerance and Peace, headed by His Excellency Ahmed bin Muhammad Al -Jarwan, expressed its strong rejection and deep denunciation of the Israeli government’s decision to occupy the Gaza Strip, stressing that this measure represents a dangerous escalation that will have tragic human consequences and threatens more bloodshed.
In a statement issued today, the Council warned that the continuation of these unilateral policies exacerbates the suffering of the Palestinian people, calling on the international community, the United Nations and the Security Council to assume their legal and moral responsibilities to put an end to these violations, and work to ensure the protection of civilians and prevent the deterioration of the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories.
His Excellency Ahmed bin Muhammad Al -Jarwan emphasized that the rights of the Palestinian people are not disposable or compromising, and that prejudice to them is a flagrant violation of international law and the principles of justice, stressing the need for urgent action to stop forced displacement and military escalation, and to create conditions for a fair and permanent peace.
He renewed the position of the council in support of the two -state solution as the only way to achieve security and stability in the region, stressing that the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with a political, legal and moral demand that cannot be ignored.
