Sharjah Electricity completes the project to modify the strategic gas line path in Fujairah

Sharjah, on August 10 / WAM / The Electricity, Water and Gas Authority, Sharjah, has completed a project to transfer and amend the strategic natural gas line path in the Emirate of Fujairah, under the supervision of the Kalba Administration, according to the highest safety and quality standards, with the aim of enhancing the infrastructure of the gas network and raising its operational efficiency.

The length of the new line is 4200 meters, with a diameter of 10 inches, while the operational pressure has 60 bar, and the project was implemented at a cost of 8 million and 585 thousand dirhams, in addition to removing the old line at a cost of 1 million and 250 thousand dirhams.

Engineer Youssef Al Hammadi, Director of Kalba Department at the Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority, stressed that the project comes within the framework of the authority’s keenness to develop the infrastructure for the natural gas sector, and to provide sustainable and safe services that keep pace with urban expansion and population growth in the emirate.

He explained that the transferred line is one of the central lines of natural gas supplies, and the project was implemented to ensure effective and stable performance of the network, which contributes to improving the long -term operational efficiency.
