The Hamdan Bin Rashid Cup race starts tomorrow at Sharjah Longines Racecourse

Sharjah, November 22nd / WAM / The Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club, in cooperation with the Emirates Horse Racing Authority, will organize tomorrow the second race at the Sharjah Longines Racecourse for the 2025/2026 season – the Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum Cup race, with the support of the Sharjah Sports Council and media sponsorship of the Sharjah Sports Channel, with the participation of 78 purebred and hybrid Arabian horses, with 11 horses in reserve, with prizes of up to 400 thousand dirhams distributed over 6 rounds of various distances and levels.

The first half (Longines Spirit Pilot Run) was dedicated to purebred Arabian horses – 4 years old and older – of local production in the United Arab Emirates – for a distance of 1200 metres, with the participation of 16 horses, with 3 horses in reserve, with prizes amounting to 40 thousand dirhams.

While 16 horses will participate in the second half (Longines Conquest Race), which is dedicated to purebred Arabian horses (beginners) of local production, aged 3 years and older, for a distance of 1,700 meters, with prizes amounting to 40 thousand dirhams.

The third round (Master Collection Round) was dedicated to purebred Arabian horses, with the participation of 14 horses, four years old and older, for a distance of 1,700 meters, with prizes amounting to 40 thousand dirhams.

While the fourth round (Longines Spirit Pilot Flyback Round) was dedicated to purebred Arabian horses, with the participation of 12 horses of equal standing and classified as 4 years old and older, over a distance of 1,700 metres, with prizes of 40,000 dirhams.

The fifth and main round was dedicated to: (Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum Cup), which is presented by Longines Prima Luna for purebred and classified hybrid horses, with the participation of 4 horses, three and four years old and older, for a distance of 1,700 meters, and its prizes reach 200 thousand dirhams.

The race concludes with the sixth round: (Longines Spirit Zulu Time Race), which is a par race designated for purebred and classified Arabian horses with the participation of 16 horses, with 4 horses in reserve, aged 4 years and above, for a distance of 2000 metres. It is a par race, and its prizes reach 40 thousand dirhams.
