New Emirati mediation between Russia and Ukraine succeeds with the launch of 168 prisoners

The UAE announced the success of mediation efforts made between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Ukraine in the completion of a new exchange process that included 84 prisoners from both sides with a total of 168 prisoners, bringing the total number of prisoners who were exchanged between the two countries in these mediations to 4349 prisoners.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its sincere thanks to the two friendly countries for their cooperation in the success of the Emirati mediation efforts, which reflects their appreciation for the UAE’s keenness to do everything that would support efforts to resolve the crisis between the two countries.

With the success of this mediation, the total Emirati mediation that took place during the crisis was 16 mediation, which confirms the strength and distinction of the relations that bring the UAE together with the Russian Federation and Ukraine.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed that the UAE will continue its endeavors to the success of various efforts to reach a peaceful solution to the conflict in Ukraine, and to alleviate the human effects resulting from the crisis.
