The UAE has provided urgent human support to those affected by the floods witnessed by the various regions of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, based on the civilizational and humanitarian message of the UAE towards providing urgent aid, supporting the stability of affected societies and mitigating peoples affected by natural disasters and crises.

The Emirates Agency for International Aid, in coordination with the state embassy of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, delivered humanitarian aid from basic foodstuffs and necessary shelter supplies to the needy, displaced and affected families present in temporary shelters, in cooperation with Daniel Bomba Lubaki, the governor of Kinshasa Governorate, the Ministry of Social Affairs, Humanitarian Action and National Solidarity, and a provincial ruler Toshopo.

In this context, Anwar Othman Al -Barrout, the UAE’s ambassador to the Democratic Republic of the Congo, stressed that these urgent humanitarian aid reflects the international human responsibility that the UAE undertakes towards the friendly people of the Kongo, and its support in such emergency conditions on the one hand, and embodies the values of solidarity and high sympathy between man with his human brother on the other hand, noting that the bilateral relations between the two friendly countries aim to enhance permanent cooperation In various fields and sectors in a way that translates leadership orientations and meets the aspirations of peoples.

In turn, a number of officials in the government of the Democratic Republic of the Congo expressed their great appreciation and thanks to the UAE leadership, government and people for this humanitarian stand that comes within a series of Emirati humanitarian and developmental assistance to the friendly people of Kongo.
