Sharjah, on August 19 / WAM / The Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Sunrise) announced the investment of 300 million dirhams in the development of seven luxury hostels within the “Sharjah Hospitality Group”, which is fully managed by the authority, as part of its efforts to meet the increasing demand for life quality and “slow travel”, and enhance the emirate’s position as an environmental and cultural tourism destination.

The group offers 154 luxury residence units in various locations that include desert, coastal, mountainous and heritage environments, as part of a comprehensive hospitality portfolio of more than 850 million dirhams.

This investment comes at a time when the health and realistic tourism sector is witnessing an accelerated global growth, as it is expected that the value of the “Well Tourism” market will exceed a trillion US dollars by the end of 2025, according to the reports of the World Afia Institute, while the “slow travel” sector grows by approximately 10% annually.

His Excellency Ahmed Obaid Al -Qusayr, Executive Director of “Shorouk”, stressed that the group represents an integrated model for sustainable hospitality, noting that each designed designed to reflect the cultural and environmental character of its location, and provides an authentic experience for visitors a balance between comfort, nature and heritage.

The Sharjah Hospitality Group includes seven hostels that include Al -Faya’s hostels in Mleiha and includes five residence units within two historical buildings of the sixties of the last century, and provides a luxurious experience in the heart of the desert, and the ravages were descended in Kalba and located inside the Crimea Trees Reserve, and provides 40 luxury tents with marine views, in cooperation with the Environment and Natural Reserves Authority, and the moon was descended in Maliha, which is a leading destination for camping The luxury includes 16 units that include domes and tents, within the National Park of Maliha, and the Al -Badayer Oasis, which provides 46 residency units within an experience inspired by the classic style of desert hospitality, and we have come to find the minors in Khorfakkan, which includes seven traditional units that are within an archaeological area dating back to more than 2000 years, in cooperation with the “Initiative” body and the winds of the winds in Khorfakkan and includes 19 heritage houses again In cooperation with the Sharjah Heritage Institute, it reflects the local urban character.

The commission plans to launch a “Rahal” hostel in the last quarter of 2025, which is a new environmental residence project between the Wadian Kalba Mountains, and includes 20 luxury solar powered residence units, which were manufactured locally, and the hostel depends on a low environmental impact design, and provides an free experience of digital connection to enhance the link to nature.

According to the data of the Commercial and Tourism Development Authority in Sharjah, the hospitality facilities in the emirate received more than 1.6 million inmates during the year 2024, with a growth rate of 11% compared to the previous year, while the occupancy rate reached 74%, and the emirate increased by 14% in the number of international visitors during the first quarter of 2025.

These indicators reflect the growing role of Sharjah in the sustainable tourism sector, in light of a strategic vision that is in line with global trends and at the same time maintains the cultural and environmental identity of the emirate.
