Urgent … extensive contacts by the Foreign Minister about the developments of the ceasefire negotiations in Gaza
Phone contacts took place today, Tuesday, between the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Affairs of Egyptians abroad, Dr. Badr Abdel -Ati, and & quot; David Lami & quot; UK Foreign Minister, Hukan Fidan, Turkey’s Foreign Minister, and Kaya Calass, the High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy of the European Union, and Hussein Al -Sheikh, Vice -President of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization, Vice President of the State of Palestine, within the framework of extensive contacts with international parties to support the ceasefire efforts in the Gaza Strip. The relentlessness made by Egypt in cooperation with Qatar and the United States to reach a ceasefire, introduce humanitarian aid, and release a number of hostages and prisoners, indicating an important progress made in this regard and that it was reflected in the recent consultations that were made in Cairo with the Palestinian delegation that focused on the proposal presented by the American Special Envoy of the Middle East Steve Wittouf, which was approved by the movement Hamas. For their part, officials expressed their appreciation for the pivotal role played by Egypt in cooperation with Qatar and the United States for the ceasefire, stressing their full support for Egypt’s efforts and its role in supporting security and stability in the region.
