A German politician calls for the delivery of “Cruise” missiles to Ukraine

The Vice -President of the German Federal Parliament (Bondstag) demanded to provide greater German support to Ukraine.

The politician belonging to the opposition Green Party, Omid Noripor, said in statements to the newspapers of the German media group “Funke”, that the Russian army is advancing in the battlefield.

He added, “Ukraine’s ability to withstand ultimately depends on our supply of weapons, so we must support Ukraine with all we have, including Cruise missiles.”

It has been in Germany for a while on a discussion of the delivery of the “Toros” cruise missiles, which is approximately 500 km to Ukraine. Former counselor Olaf Schultz had refused for fear that Germany would make a party to the war. The current counselor Friedrich Mertz explained at the end of last May that he does not rule out the supply of these missiles to Ukraine, but that it was currently agreed that Germany is helping Ukraine in manufacturing long -range weapons.

Noripor believes that US President Donald Trump cannot rely. He said, “The Europeans should rely on themselves,” explaining that the support of Ukraine requires Germany to apply current sanctions against Russia more assertive, and to impose new sanctions, for example on fertilizers, intensifying military support, and participating in Western security guarantees.
