"Dubai Electricity" Open "Project Management Training Center"
Dubai, August 25 / WAM / Today, the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority for Professional and Academic Development in Hudhabeh is inaugurated from the American Projects Management Institute, which will provide advanced training programs in project management for government and private institutions, companies affiliated with the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, and community members.
The center was opened by His Excellency Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Managing Director CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, noting that Dubai has become a role model worldwide in implementing leading major projects according to the highest quality, efficiency and sustainability standards, explaining that in light of the acceleration of technical changes, project management has become a crucial factor in promoting competitiveness and sustainability of institutional growth, and a basic pillar of the success of institutions and achieving their goals Strategy efficiently and effectively.
For his part, Dr. Youssef Al -Akraf, CEO of the President for the Business and Human Resources Support Sector at the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, said that by the end of 2024, the number of employees of the Authority with a professional project management certificate reached 280 employees, in addition to 120 professionals who have other certificates accredited by the Project Management Institute.
It is noteworthy that the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority is the first party in the Dubai government to obtain a license for an accredited training partner to teach project management and accreditation activities from the American Project Management Institute in 2010.
