Luanda on August 27 / WAM / The Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry in the United Arab Emirates signed a memorandum of understanding with the Angola Chamber of Commerce and Industry to establish the “UAE Angolan Business Council” in a strategic move aimed at enhancing economic ties and expanding the prospects for joint investment.
This came during an official visit to a high -level Emirati economic delegation to the Angolan capital, Luanda, where the memorandum of understanding was officially signed by His Excellency Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, Vice President of the UAE Chambers Union, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Mr. Vicente Suares, President of the Angola Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in the presence of a number of officials and representatives of the business sector from both sides.
His Excellency Abdullah Sultan Al -Owais stressed that the establishment of the “UAE Angolan Business Council” represents an important station and a vital platform to enhance the distinguished bilateral relations that bring together the two friendly countries, which is witnessing an accelerated development in all fields, and through this council we look forward to providing promising and direct opportunities for companies and institutions in the two countries, benefiting from the full support it enjoys from the UAE Chambers Union and the Angola Commerce and Industry Chamber.
His Excellency Abdullah Sultan Al -Owais explained that the council will work systematically to launch many commercial and promotional activities in various targeted economic sectors within the agenda of joint cooperation, and will provide an active platform for business owners and investors to introduce their activities and establish sustainable commercial and investment partnerships and open new qualitative areas for cooperation.
For its part, the Angolan side praised the importance of establishing the joint business council, considering it a necessary step to translate mutual interest into concrete projects and expressed the willingness of the business community in Angola to establish strategic partnerships through the council, deepen economic dialogue, facilitate interaction between business sectors and exchange information about opportunities and promising markets in our two countries.
The Memorandum of Understanding stipulated that the Council work to facilitate the continuous interaction between the business community in the two countries and exchange information on commercial and investment opportunities and legislation organizing them in addition to organizing exhibitions, conferences and mutual visits to commercial delegations to serve the common economic interests.
