The Minister of Irrigation confirms Egypt’s interest in playing a prominent role during the upcoming United Nations Water Conference
The Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation, Dr. Hani Sweilem, stressed Egypt’s interest in playing a prominent role during the next United Nations Water Conference, based on Egypt’s distinguished successes during the past years at the international level of water to put in the heart of the global climate agenda, which was achieved during Cairo Water, Climate Conferences, and the United Nations Water Conference for the year 2023.
this came during a meeting of the Minister of Irrigation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs for Foreign Minister for Affairs Energy and sustainability in the UAE, Abdullah Bilal, on the sidelines of & quot; International Water Week & quot; Currently held in the Swedish capital, Stockholm. Especially through & quot; Fifth Interactive Dialogue on Water in Multilateral Operations & quot; It is planned to be held during the United Nations Conference. Starting to prepare a framework to continue achieving these goals after 2030, and working to enhance cross -border international cooperation in the framework of the interactive dialogue on & quot; water for cooperation & quot; to ensure strengthening the role of the United Nations in the cross -border water field stands for the principles and rules of international water law. & nbsp;
