"Adopting a library" It reaches 11 thousand students in 15 charitable schools in the Emirates

Sharjah, on August 28 / WAM / The “Kalimat” Foundation announced the launch of an expanded campaign within the initiative of “Book of Library”, targeting more than 11,000 students in 15 charitable private schools, by providing them with mobile libraries that include 2,000 Arabic books, and organizing reading and educational programs and field visits that enhance students ’passion for knowledge.
The move comes in conjunction with the start of the academic year 2025-2026, and within the initiatives of “The Year of Society”, with the support of “Mustablay Group” and “Sharjah Special Education”, with the aim of building a sustainable educational environment that enhances the quality of education and expands access to sources of knowledge.
Since its launch, the “Book of Library” initiative has presented a distinctive model in enabling children to read, through libraries that include 100 books, interactive activities that devote the habit of reading, and it has expanded to 27 countries through 177 mobile libraries.
Amna Al -Mazmi, Director of Words Foundation, stressed that the campaign aims to make the book part of the school day and support the cultural identity through reading in the Arabic language.
Samia Bouazza, CEO and General Manager of “Mustablay Group”, praised the impact of the initiative within the company’s social responsibility program, “Reading for Leadership”, in enabling children to develop their skills.
In turn, Dr. Makhddi Al -Hashemi, Chairman of the Sharjah Special Education Authority, explained that the partnership contributes to building comprehensive educational environments and enhancing the presence of the Arabic language among students.
She said, “Through this initiative, we contribute to enabling private schools to activate rich and active libraries, and to integrate reading activities within the daily curriculum, to improve the quality of education and expand the horizons of accessing sources of knowledge,” she said.
The initiative includes creative reading workshops, narrative narrative sessions, and reading competitions, in addition to providing school libraries with selected Arabic books that suit different age groups.
