The draw for the Arab Clubs Championship for the basket of September 7

Dubai, August 29/ WAM/ The Arab Basketball Federation announced that the draw for the 37th edition of the Arab Men’s Basketball Clubs, hosted by Al -Nasr Club in Dubai during the period from September 25 to October 6, will be held on Sunday, September 7, “after a distance”, after the closure of registration in the tournament yesterday.
The number of participating teams reached 16 clubs after the joining of the Lebanese Al -Hikma and Al -Manama teams, along with 14 teams previously announced, namely: Al -Arabi and Al -Rayyan from Qatar, Kuwait, Kazma and Qadisiyah from Kuwait, Al -Wahda and Homs Al -Fida from Syria, the people of Hadramout and the port from Yemen, Al -Bashaer and Al -Sayyib from the Sultanate of Oman, the Lebanese Anthony, and the Ahli Tripoli Libyan, in addition to Al -Nasr.
The technical meeting of the tournament in Dubai is scheduled to take place one day before the start of the competitions.
Major General Ismail Al -Qarqawi, President of the Arab Basketball Federation, confirmed that the tournament will witness an amendment to the list of foreign players, where each team has the right to register three professional players, instead of the previous regime that was limited to foreign players and an Arab player, indicating that this amendment will contribute to raising the technical level and enriching competition between clubs.
