The UAE won 16 medals in " Equestrian regional" For Special Olympics

Al Ain on August 29/ WAM/ The UAE Special Olympics concluded their participation in the regional equestrian competition “Al Ain 2025”, with 16 medals, with 9 golds, 5 silver, and two bronzes, in the jumping barriers, English riding, path, and control.
Al Ain area hosted the competition in the stables of Abu Dhabi Police Knights during the period from 24 to 28 August, and organized by the UAE Special Olympics in cooperation with the International Special Olympics for the Middle East and North Africa, under the auspices of the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, with the support of the General Command of Abu Dhabi Police as a host partner, and the Emirates Equestrian Federation as a supportive partner.
40 knights and knights representing 11 countries with mental and developmental disabilities competed in 4 main equestrian sports, namely taming, English riding, jumping barriers, paths and control.
The player, Mahra Al -Kaabi, won two golds, silver, Sultan Al -Khaili with two gold, bronze, Zakia Al -Mazmi with two golds, Dinal Ikana Yaki with two gold and silver, Muhammad Al -Yamahi with silver, and Zulekha Al -Mansouri, with two silver, and Basma Al -Ghusayn in gold and bronze, and Muhammad Al -Shamsi won the fourth place in 3 competitions.
His Excellency Eng. Ayman Abdel Wahab, the regional head of the International Special Olympics for the Middle East and North Africa, stressed that the success of the competition in its first session represents a milestone in the region’s Olympics march, by consolidating equestrian sport as one of the basic inclusive sports.
He added that the UAE has a full record of supporting and empowering people of determination, in addition to its sustainable cooperation with the International Special Olympics, to enhance the common vision of building more integrated societies, hoping to convert this competition into an annual platform.
For his part, His Excellency Talal Al -Hashemi, the National Director of the Emirati Special Olympics, said that this competition was not just a sporting event, but rather an important station in the march of integration and empowerment of people of determination, and in continuation of the heavy success in the world’s “Abu Dhabi 2019” games, pointing to the great support of the rational leadership in enabling the merger, for players and players.
He thanked and appreciated all the participants for the distinguished levels in the competition, and the high spirit in the competitions, praising the efforts of the partners and their concrete role
