Conclusion of the initiative "Academic track" To enable the children of martyrs to build their academic and professional future

ABU DHABI, 17 JULY / WAM / The Martyrs’ Families Affairs Office, in cooperation with the Khalifa Empowerment Program “Aqdar”, concluded the “Academic Path” initiative, which was implemented in partnership with the University of Sharjah, the United Arab Emirates University, Khalifa University, and the Rochester University of Technology, with the aim of enabling the children of martyrs and their parents to choose the appropriate academic and professional path, in accordance with their inclinations, abilities, and labor market needs.

The initiative witnessed an integrated program that included awareness and interactive sessions, academic guidance, in addition to field visits to universities and companies, during which participants had the opportunity to learn about future university majors, admission requirements, skills required in the labor market, and exposure to different work environments, which contributes to building a clear academic and professional path before joining the university.

The initiative focused on empowering parents by providing them with knowledge and tools that help them support their children in choosing their academic and professional paths, enhancing their ability to dialogue and make appropriate decisions, in addition to raising their awareness of future requirements and academic specializations compatible with the needs of the labor market, and building thoughtful educational options that are compatible with students’ abilities and aspirations.

The “Academic Track” initiative comes within a package of specific initiatives implemented by the Martyrs’ Families Affairs Office in cooperation with the Khalifa Empowerment Program “Aqdar”, as part of the ongoing efforts to support the children of the martyrs, enhance their academic and professional readiness for the future, and enable them to make informed and informed educational and professional decisions, in a way that contributes to achieving their aspirations, developing their capabilities, and building their future with confidence and efficiency.
