Partnership between Dubai Digital and"Cips" To enhance excellence in strategic purchases

Dubai, September 3 / WAM / The Dubai Digital Authority signed an agreement with the Carted Institute for Procurement and Supply (CIPS) with the aim of developing the strategic purchasing system and enhancing the readiness of government cadres working in this field through global applied training programs.

According to the agreement, a 18 -month training program will be presented by the institute experts in Dubai and includes granting accredited international certificates and developing practical skills that keep pace with moral standards and best international practices.

His Excellency Hamad Obaid Al -Mansoori, Director General of Dubai Digital Authority, stressed that the agreement comes within the framework of the authority’s keenness to invest in human capital and enhance the readiness of its cadres for the future through strategic partnerships with leading global institutions, indicating that purchases and supply represents an essential corner in developing government performance and upgrading the efficiency of institutional work in a way that enhances Dubai’s ability to lead digital transformation and reflects its position as a global city.

The agreement was in the presence of His Excellency Hamad Obaid Al -Mansouri, His Excellency Tariq Al -Janahi, Executive Director of the Institutional Empowerment Sector in the Authority, Wissam Ashbong, the regional director of the institute in the Middle East and North Africa region.

For his part, Sam Ashmbong stressed that the purchases play a pivotal role in supporting innovation and flexibility and maximizing value in providing public services, explaining that the training program will provide workers in the authority with the tools and frameworks necessary to lead the transformation with confidence and efficiency.

The Carted Institute for Procurement and Supply (CIPS) is one of the most prominent international professional organizations and a global reference in setting standards and best practices in purchases and supply.
