Celebrate B. " Binding" At the fishing and equestrian exhibition 2025
Abu Dhabi, September 3 / WAM / The Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority’s wing during its participation in the Abu Dhabi International Fishing and Equestrian Show highlights one of the most prominent components of the traditional costume of men, which is the “package” through an interactive exhibition entitled “Ezz and Sarai”, as part of his celebration of the authentic Emirati identity.
The pavilion offers various forms of al -Muhazam made of leather, as it was used to carry ammunition and wear over the “kandora” and varies in its designs between decorations and the process, and its forms are multiple according to the type of ammunition and what suits the holder of the gun.
The pavilion provides an interactive workshop for children that allows them to identify the symbolism of the “package” in the Emirati heritage and learn the steps to decorate it in an experience that mixes education and fun, with the aim of instilling the love of heritage in the hearts of children in a simplified and interactive way and introducing them to its elements through enjoyable practical activities.
During the workshop, the participants learn about the date and symbolism of the Emirati heritage.
Hossam Mohamed Jabr from the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority told Emirates News Agency “WAM” that the authority’s participation includes the launch of a project to revive the “Al -Mahwam” craft in accordance with the traditional roads based on accurate historical research, archive pictures and original traditional pieces.
He said that this project received great attention from craftsmen and specialized companies and enabled us to display three main examples of the old Emirati Hazem, in addition to organizing interactive workshops for children that enable them to color the disobedience, wear them and learn about their historical connotations.
He added, through these activities, we seek to consolidate the national identity in the hearts of children and provide heritage in a modern and interactive manner that is in line with the interests of the new generation. The package is not just a tool but rather a symbol of pride and dignity linked to our traditions and authentic heritage.
The activity comes within a series of cultural and heritage events hosted by the exhibition, which is one of the most prominent annual events in the region, as it constitutes a platform that combines hunting and equestrian amateurs, heritage lovers and craftsmen from around the world.
The exhibition includes rare holdings of traditional weapons, heritage clothes and fishing tools, in addition to artistic and cultural shows that highlight the diversity and richness that characterizes the Emirati environment.
