The “Chamber” receives a delegation from the Technology and Technology Committee in the “Eastern Chamber” Saudi Arabia

The Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry received a delegation from the Communications and Technology Committee in the Eastern Chamber of Saudi Arabia, where ways to enhance joint cooperation in the fields of technology and digital economy have been discussed, and in a way that contributes to supporting technical transformation in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia.

His Excellency Mr. Yaqoub Al -Awadi, a member of the Board of Directors of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, welcomed the guest delegation, stressing the depth of the historical relations that bring together the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the solid and close links that link the two brotherly peoples.

Al -Awadi pointed out that the world is witnessing a remarkable acceleration today in the field of digital and technical transformation, which calls for holding such periodic meetings between the chambers of commerce to follow up on developments and discuss challenges and opportunities.

He also stressed the importance of exchanging ideas and visions between Bahraini and Saudi companies in the information technology sector, which contributes to creating larger entities capable of serving the two markets and supporting the competitiveness of the economies.

For his part, His Excellency Mr. Nasser Al -Hajri, a member of the Board of Directors of the Eastern Chamber and Chairman of the Communications and Technology Committee, stressed the privacy of brotherly relations with the Kingdom of Bahrain, pointing out that Bahrain is one of the closest partners to the Kingdom, and is characterized by being one of the developed countries in the technical side and the exchange of information in the region.

Al -Hajri pointed out that many Saudi competencies work in the Bahraini market in the field of technology, which reflects the level of cooperation and integration between the two countries.

He expressed the hope that this visit will be fruitful and open broad horizons for cooperation, stressing the importance of overcoming obstacles and facilitating procedures for businessmen and investors from both sides, in order to enhance the strategic partnership between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia.

To that, the delegation presented during the meeting a comprehensive visual presentation in which he dealt with the features of the telecommunications and technical sector in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the great development witnessed by this vital sector and its main pillars in supporting the Saudi economy.

The presentation also highlighted its pivotal role in diversifying the sources of income, raising the efficiency of performance in various sectors, enhancing innovation and entrepreneurship, in line with the targets of the Kingdom’s 2030 vision, which has given digital transformation as strategic as one of the engines of sustainable growth and building an advanced knowledge economy.
